Get an 808 number
Two routes lead to an 808 number. A provider gives you a new number with its plan. You choose it at sign-up from the numbers the provider holds in the code. A seller advertises numbers it already holds, often ones with a pattern, at a one-time price, and you then transfer the number to a provider.
