How each page is created

Each area-code, state, city and toll-free page is built from NANPA's public files, so the codes, dates, place names and exhaust years on it trace back to the file the page names. [p] Comparison pages use prices that providers and sellers publish themselves. Each row links to its source. The guides draw on official rules, mostly the FCC rules in 47 CFR Part 52, plus terms published by sellers and providers themselves.

Actions the pages never take

  • [li] Create a made-up price, fee, waiting time or number for sale.
  • [li] Say who owns a number, or who calls from it.
  • Put a seller or provider higher in the rankings because it pays a referral fee.
  • [li] Give a company a rating based on scores invented by this site.

Updates

[p] The area-code pages are rebuilt from any new file that NANPA publishes. The table is refreshed from the page of any provider or seller that changes a published price.

Corrections

[p] To report a correction, email contact@phonenumbermarketplace.com. Include the page and the source showing the right figure. [p] Any confirmed error is corrected on the page.

Independence

[p] Before publication, sellers and providers neither review nor approve the pages. [p] The disclosure page explains how the site earns.
