Get an 860 number
Two routes lead to an 860 number. With its plan, a provider hands out a new number, chosen when you sign up from among the numbers it holds under this code. Numbers a seller already holds, often with a pattern, get listed at a one-time price. You then move the chosen number over to a provider.
